So the book starts out where Sparrow and Troy are getting married. But it's not your typical wedding, you see it's an arranged one. Out of the blue Troy walks in and demands her hand, while sparrow on the other hand thinks why her? He doesn't love her, and when they knew each other as kids he would not give her a second glance. She knows something is up.
Troy I had a hard time liking. He was the typical lone wolf, being the son of a mobster. After his fathers death, he makes a list of who was involved in his dad's murder. But the way he treated Sparrow in the beginning was a hard pill to swallow. But little by little he slowly fell in love, and that scared him. Troy is the type of guy that doesn't know how to love or wants it. But when Sparrow walks into his life his world changes on its axis. I really liked Sparrow's character. She was tough as nails, and that's how I found this story really unique. She has been through so much, her childhood was a mess. A dad who is drunk all the time and a mom who left them at age three. But she stood up and kept her head held high.
The chemistry these two had was off the walls. Between there love/ hate banter the sexy scenes were very steamy.
So many twists and turns.
Who can Sparrow Trust?
Why did Troy ask for her hand in marriage?
And most of all will Troy and Sparrow have a happy ending, or will their marriage go down in flames?
